How do I keep track of new responses and guest activity?

Use the event’s activity and the notification bell to see what has changed.

Open the notification bell for recent activity across the events you can access, and See all notifications for the full list. An event's Overview shows its latest entry. Follow an entry to its relevant page: an answer opens Guests with that answer's chip chosen, and an invitation to you opens the invitation.

On the full list, search, or press Filter beside the search for one row of chips: All, Unread with how many, then one kind of entry (Answers, Questions, Photos & notes and so on), and beside them Every event, which picks one event. A chip appears only when it has entries and is not every entry, and while one is chosen the chips stay open and Filter says how many are in use. An older version of the app has neither.

When an event needs something from you, the bell says so: a draft not yet published as the date gets close, no answers a few days after the invitations went, guests still quiet near the reply deadline, an invitation that didn't arrive, or the event filling up. Follow it to the page that fixes it. It leaves the bell once it no longer applies. You may also get it by email, which you can turn off: see Emails to you.

When a guest asks you something from Guest home, it appears here too, quoting the start of the question. Follow it to the Questions chip in Messaging, which appears once a guest has asked something. It sits under Filter beside the search, which opens by itself while a question is new to you; its count is the questions that are new to you and not yet marked answered, and it is the only chip there with a count; opening the chip clears it for you, not for your co-hosts. The ones still waiting come first; press one for its panel, with the question in full and Reply to and the guest's address to answer by email. A reply you send is not something the product can see, so press Mark answered once you have replied: the question moves below the waiting ones for you and your co-hosts, with who marked it, and Mark not answered puts it back. Archive closes the panel and takes a question out of the list for you and your co-hosts; it moves to the Archived chip, where Unarchive brings it back. Other guests never see a question. In an app version before 1.3, Questions is a tab in Messaging listing every question with its buttons, the answered ones under Answered, and without Archive; an older version still lists questions at the top of Messaging.

When a guest makes a nametag, the bell says so once, however often they change it afterwards, and the entry leads to Nametags. An older version of the app shows that entry as the guest's name alone.

The entries available to you follow your event permissions. A role that can manage headcounts but cannot read guest content will not gain that access through a notification.

Use these views to check new replies and contributions. Do not treat the absence of a phone notification as proof that nothing has changed.
