Where are the messages my host sent?
On your page for the event, under Messages: the newest on the page, the rest under All messages.
On the website only.
Open your page for the event (sign in with the address your invitation came to, or press See your page on your invitation). Under Messages, marked From the host, the newest message is on the page itself. Press All messages for every message the host has sent you, newest first; an unread one carries a dot.
Open a message to read it in full. Links the host wrote open in a new tab. Under the message, Directions opens a map of the venue and Your answer goes to your reply, so a message about the time or the place has the way to act on it beside it. Opening a message clears its unread mark.
An emailed message links straight to your own copy of it.
Asking your host something
Replying to an email from your host usually does not reach them. Instead, open your page for the event and find Ask … something under Messages (with your host's name). Write your question and press Send. Your host and their co-hosts get it by email, unless they have turned those emails off, and can reply to the address you signed in with. It is also in their notifications. Other guests never see it. Questions you have asked are listed under You asked on the Messages page.
You can ask up to five questions a day for each event. Asking closes once the host wraps the event up.
Messages on other events
A dot on your initials at the top of any of your pages means something is new on another event you are invited to. Press your initials and choose Your invitations: unopened messages and invitations still waiting for your answer are listed under New at the top, each with the way to it. If you also host an event, the same news is in the bell at the top of your dashboard.
In the app, open the event's page and choose Messages; the top of your invitations lists what is new under New, as on the website.
Messages sent to selected guests are visible only to those guests. If a message you were told about is not there, ask your host to check who it was sent to, and that it went to the address you sign in with.
